Local Arts Leader Serving On Statewide Arts Board

The Missouri Association of Community Arts Agencies (MACAA) held its Fall Gathering and Annual Meeting in Rocheport, MO on November 8. Over sixty community arts leaders from across the state attended the meeting, which included networking, guest speakers from selected community arts agencies, a mini-professional development session led by Leslie Forrester, Executive Director of the Springfield Regional Arts Council and presentations by statewide partners of MACAA, including the Missouri Arts Council, Missouri Citizens for the Arts, Missouri Folk Arts Program and the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education.

During the business portion of the meeting, it was announced that Nancy Crouse (Florissant), Kim Carr (New Florence) and Gary Grigsby (Warrensburg) were elected to the MACAA board and current board members Sarah Dresser (Columbia) and Kathy Green (Marshall) were approved to renew for second 3-year terms.

MACAA is a network of Missouri community arts agencies that has served communities since 1979 and believes that the arts make communities better places to live.
